I wrote this song for my mom, Fern, and I miss her dearly. I played and sang it for her memorial service on October 25, 2011.

I hear your voice, could it be that you are near.
I feel your touch, now I'm wishing you were here.
The magic of your smile, your laughter in the air,
I hear it now, from where I don't know.

I'm reaching out, reaching out to touch you now.
To feel your warmth, want you to be there somehow.
The hearts that you have touched,
all those you loved so much,
they want to know you are here.

I long to look into your eyes, to see your face,
to feel the joy you bring wherever you go.

Whenever you are near,
it feels just right because you fill the room
with so much love, and we feel it everywhere.

I sit at home, searching for a reason why.
I'm feeling bad and I'm trying not to cry.
I think of all you've done, your love for everyone.
Always there, you always cared.

I long to look into your eyes, to see your face,
to feel the joy you bring wherever you go.

But now you've found your peace
in heaven above and though it's hard
for me to understand, it was meant to be.

"Some Other Day" is a song I wrote in memory of my father and sang at his memorial service on June 25, 2009 (the day Michael Jackson died).

I always knew that you would leave,
just not today.
I'd find a way to tell you things,
some other day.

I've tossed the words around my head,
gotta be just right.
It's always strange how things can change,
overnight.

A simple thing can mean a lot,
maybe just a touch.
I knew I'd miss you when you went away,
didn't know how much.

I know it's crazy but I thought
I'd find the time to say
all the things you meant to me,
some other day.
